With a view of the characteristics ofSimultaneous Interpreting,"simultaneous" does not mean "without time span "literally,rather it means there is still some time for interpreters to grasp the meaning. Interpretersneed to keep the balance of these three tasks in translation in order to avoid spending toomuch energy in one task. The transient of listening and analysis, together with short-termmemory, has a significant influence on the quality of speech production and coordinationin translation.
