Sun Bin’s Art of War is a classic book in China’s pre-Qin military works, which incorporatesmilitary thinking of the time, and contains the politics, history and philosophy, and other ideas.However, the previous research for this book has many disadvantages. Some scholars in theresearch limited in Chinese Classical Documents and Linguistics. Some scholars took Sun Bin’sArt of War, The Art of War, Wu Zi and other pre-Qin military works as a whole, and study theircharacteristics. And some scholars mainly studied the application of Sun Bin’s Art of War in theeconomy and management. This paper takes Sun Bin’s Art of War as a literature, and makes afurther study on its literariness factors, such as the content, the style, the characteristic oflanguage and the writing skillsThe paper includes three parts: Introduction, Text, and Conclusion.The introduction part teases out the previous research for Sun Bin’s Art of War, points outthe advantages and disadvantages, and strives to provide sufficient basic information on theresearch for Sun Bin’s Art of War.The text includes seven chapters:The first chapter according to reliable historical data introduced the author Sun Bin and theformation of Sun Bin’s Art of War.The second chapter briefly outlines the basic content and style of Sun Bin’s Art of War, anddeepens the understanding of the text. So we can better understand its organizationalcharacteristics.The third chapter mainly studies the language features of Sun Bin’s Art of War. This partfocuses on the style and rhetoric to explain the language features: simple and plain, meticulous,imposing.The forth chapter points the characteristics of argumentation. Its views clear and the logic ofSun Bin’s Art of War is accurate. The author vividly demonstrated the dull and abstract theory. Atthe same time, the book uses parallelism to strengthen its conviction and infection.
