Taiwan Literature View Of Japan's Imagination

The Taiwanese literature has gone through many stages from modern times till now. It can be divided into two parts according to the colonization by Japan: Colonize Literature and Recover Literature. During these two periods, literature can be more specifically phased by political and social reasons.The Imagination of Japan means the collective imagination lies in the Taiwanese literature (including novels and movies). Because of the particularity of the colonization, the imagination in the literature varies from time to time. Meanwhile the imagination for other country actually contains the self-identity. In this case, the difference of imagination in different stages is the clue of Taiwanese self identification. The variation and the reasons behind should be discussed.
