Dongchang prefecture of Shandong in Ming Dynasty, which under Shandong chief secretary,in the Western Shandong, along Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, is an important prefecture leveladministrative region. This is the first study that76Dongchang prefecture prefects and theirgovernance in the Ming Dynasty. Firstly, using a graphic way to analyze the history ofDongchang region intuitively. Secondly, counting a number of Dongchang prefects and theirspecific names of the officials at different times in Chinese history. Thirdly, generalize76Dongchang prefects’official ways and their served biographical information with the method ofmeasurement analysis and graph analysis. Research the features of their birthplace, official ways,inaugurations, term of office, resignation and promotion. Fourthly, research76Dongchangprefects’ responsibilities, achievements, and their retirement. Finally, summarized transcript.Evaluate of76Dongchang prefects, and draw their management experience.The article studies from the perspective of regional history, it is a new attempt of thetraditional political system research, and it is also favorable supplement for the weak link in thehistory of political study.
