Investigation on the children music education has became excessively important since children arealways more sensitive to music at their age. It is of great opportunity to cultivate their sense of music andits relating basic skills at this period. That would also be the infrastructure work for their moraldevelopment and personal cultivation. This paper entitled 《Suzuki Method and children music educationof our country》—taking center of art Voice of Spring, Rizhao as the example shows the authorscontemplation on this topic. As one of the most important complementary approach to National musiceducation, social music education is advantageous and has draw much attention for its wide coverage,direct orientation to all children and flexible teaching styles. More and more parents are willing to sendtheir children to various kinds of music training centers to accept professional music education. Hence,circumstance of social music education is tightly related to the music education for our children. On theother hand, foreign teaching methods, such as Dalcroze method, Orff method, Kodaly method and SuzukiMethod have become prevalent in our country. Among those methods, Suzuki Method, as one of the mostadvanced teaching method, was originally part of the social education system and then spread, acceptedworldwide. This paper mainly gives detailed analysis on Suzuki Method taking center of art Voice ofSpring as the example. Investigation on the children’s and their parents’ responses to Suzuki Method wascarried out to analyze the current circumstance of our national children music education.This paper is consist of four chapters in which the first chapter is a brief introduction to thebackground information of Suzuki Method and its relating study areas in our teaching course. Detaileddescription and summarization on the Suzuki Method was presented in chapter2including its creation,teaching idea, methods and contents. Investigation on the children music education of our country wasshown in chapter3taking center of art Voice of Spring as the example. Questionnaire on current status ofour national music education was performed and concluded. Based on the proper application of SuzukiMethod and its combination to our national children music education, author’s personal contemplations onthe goal of music education, parents’ cultivation to their children and teachers’ teaching method arepresented in chapter4.
