Attention Span, Working Memory, Refresh And The Empirical Study Of Relationship Between Fluid Intelligence

Intelligence has always been an important field in psychology studies. Researchers have made a large number of achievements related to intelligence and correlations between intelligence and other cognitive process. Cattell and Spearman put forward the concept of general intelligence, fostering more and more psychologists devoted themselves into exploring the essence of human intelligence.This study addressed two related aims:first, to examine the relationship among working memory capacity, attention span, updating. Second,170subjects from northwest university have participated in the present study; they are required to perform4cognitive tasks and2fluid intelligence test. Significant relationship exists between working memory capacity, updating, attention span and fluid intelligence. Second of all, based on the data results we have conducted SEM and the result demonstrated that:attention span accounts48%variance of fluid intelligence, memory updating and attention span accounts for77%variance of fluid intelligence.
