Forgiveness is always discussed by theology and religious, until scholars foundthat it has an important influence when they study the conscience and morality., soforgiveness can be included in the psychology research, which has drawn widespreadconcerns at foreign academic circles, some in theory and empirical related researchhas also made a series of achievements, But there are few empirical studies onforgiveness in our country. In this study, we revised TEIQue-SF to make it applicableto the Chinese college students. And then, based on the TEIQue-SF I revised, wediscussed the relationship of Forgiveness, Trait Emotional Intelligence, PersonalityTraits and Attribution of college students.Participants were from two universities in Shanghai and Jiangsu, a total of556members. The survey data was used SPSS11.5and LISREL8.5to the main analysis.This survey investigated five main goals:1, the revision of TEIQue-SF;2, thedevelopment of forgiveness of Chinese college students;3, the development of thetrait emotional creativity of Chinese college students;4, the correlation betweenforgiveness, trait emotional creativity, Personality Traits and Attribution;5, the effectof trait emotional intelligence, Personality Traits and Attribution on forgiveness.The statistical result indicates that: the original TEIQue-SF has30items, but the7th,10th,11th,17th,18th,25thand27thitems reduce the construct validity of the scale, sothere are7items in TEIQue-SF have been deleted. The TEIQue-SF revised (23itemsremains) has good reliability, validity and structure, and it is also suitable for Chinesecollege students. Male college students get higher scores on forgiveness than femalecollege students; the students who come from countryside get higher scores onforgiveness than the students who come from town; Science college students gethigher scores on forgiveness than literature college students; there is no significantdifference in grade; On TEIQue-SF there is no significant difference in sex and grade;but the result indicates that there are significant differences in location,single childand profession. There is significant correlation between forgiveness, trait emotionalintelligence, personality traits and attribution; the prediction of trait emotional intelligence, Personality Traits and Attribution on forgiveness is significant.
