Job burnout study is a fresh research field initiated in1974by Freudenberger, a New York clinical psychologist. Over the past30years or so, it has attracted wide attention from a lot of managerialists and psychologists worldwide. The problem of job burnout could exert great impact on the economic development and social progress of every country in the world. What’s more, job burnout has a decisive effect on the existence and development of enterprises.The present thesis is based on discussion over the three antecedents that influence job burnout from the individual level, including personality traits, social support and emotion intelligence. The thesis firstly conducts a literature review on relevant variables and proposes an assumption on the basis of past research conclusions. Then, effective data with objective quantity are collected by using questionnaires. Finally, the assumption is verified by statistical methods with the conclusion being reached.In empirical study, the present thesis verifies the relationship between job burnout and personality traits, social support and emotion intelligence. Then, it inspects the mediating effect of social support and emotion intelligence between personality traits and job burnout through regression analysis. At last, the path pattern between various independent variables and dependent variables is drawn in accordance with the research conclusion.Empirical research and analysis reveal that the assumption proposed in the present thesis has been basically verified. The major results are listed as follows:1、Personality traits and emotion intelligence have remarkable impact on job burnout and the subjective sense of social support has obvious influence on the dimension of personal fulfillment reduction in job burnout.2、Emotion intelligence has partial mediating effect between personality and job burnout.3、Social support has partial mediating effect between extroversion/introversion in personality and emotion exhaustion.
