Previous education fair research limited in women suffereducation unfair in this dimension. With the mitigation of femaleeducation problems, people begin to see more concealed factors inthe unbalance educational opportunities due to the difference inacademic achievements.People has many wrong ideas on academicachievements such as "girl is not as good as boy","girl can not learnscience well". The concept plays a big constrained role on girls gradeimprovement.It is negative for their development.But as to raise thelevel of education, the girl scores has got great improved, at the sametime,"boy academic achievement crisis" has began to attract theattention from scholars and parents. So,it is very impotant to makeclear whether exist gender gap in high schools academicachievements between boys and giris,what the trend of the differenceis and why its so. Can not only provide specific educationcountermeasure for our school education, but also provide basis forthe harmonious development for boys and girls.This paper based on the survey of college entrance examinationscores of S County in Henan province in three years, reveals the statusand characteristics of the high school student academic achievementof gender differences, we analyses the reasons for the difference inacademic achievements. At the last,we provide some suggestions inimproving our education in high school.This article contains four parts:Part One: We introduced the researchbackground,objectives,the meaning of this article and the summariesof current research on the question.Of the sort of gender differences inthe academic performance of high school students also discussed therelationship between men and women in gender differences in intellectual and academic achievement. And in the light of theshortcomings of the existing research put forward the research ofproblem to solve.Part Two: Analysis of gender differences in the academicperformance. Through the actual investigation, analysis the basiccondition and gender differences on the academic achievement ofcounty S Henan province throughly.Part Three: Academically gender differences in thecharacteristics and their reasons. Pointed out the main features of thisresearch about the academic achievement of the gender differences,especially in general, the basic balance of boys and girls results, but thegirls scores than boys results. Disciplinary differences of the above in allsubjects,male and female students tended to increase. On the basis ofresearch, combined with the related research and analysis to producereasons for this situation.Part Four: Academic gender-sensitive educationcountermeasures. According to the investigation result,we put forwardthe corresponding countermeasures for gender difference inacademic achievement in middle school education.
