Gender equality in the college entrance examination not only affects the future development of young people,but also plays a significant role in the allocation of resources in higher education.However,there are still some gender differences in the scores of college entrance examination,and this paper studies the three subjects of Chinese,Mathematics and English,hoping to find out the cognitive factors influencing the gender differences.This study examines the sophomore students in four different regions(including Shanghai,Jiangsu,Hunan and Shandong)by extracting the college entrance examination from 2005 to 2014.According to test for gender differences in examination results,we identify the topic of gender differences.We carry out the cognitive task analysis of these issues,and study the situation of their men and women to answer,to find out the main factors that may cause different scores of men and women,and construct the cognitive factors table.And then let the raters score the demand for cognitive factors in different issues and according to the gender difference between the scores and the score rate,the regression equation was established to find out the main cognitive factors influencing the gender differences in different issues.And we find that in Chinese,the higher the requirement for language reasoning and sensitivity to conditions in issues,the greater the advantage of girls.The higher the requirement for the concept and the knowledge of understanding in issues,the greater the advantage of boys.In Mathematics,the higher the general ability requirements in the issues,the greater the advantage of boys.In English,the memory capacity requirements in the issues are higher,the greater the score advantage of girls.Finally,The difference in cognitive ability is the main reason for gender differences in individual scores.In addition,the sensitivity of girls to detail changes in the process of answering makes them more scored.
