From1954to the end of1956,The new China conducted acomprehensive socialist transformation of capitalist industry andcommerce.The reform of year-end bonus system in the wage system,which involved the most extensive personnel, and the most closelyrelated to the vital interests of the majority of workers, practitioners inthe transformation of capitalist industry and commerce. It beganbrewing, ready to try three years before the comprehensivetransformation of capitalist industry and commerce. Before theliberation, the wages of workers are generally divided into two parts inold Shanghai: basic wage and disguised wage. The basic wage isrelatively stable, the disguised wage is very numerous and unstable,especially in the eve of the liberation, the proportion of the total wageincome dued to soaring prices, disguised wages were also growing,even more than the basic wages. The greatest impact on employees,the most common form of disguised wage is the year-end bonus.This paper is based on the reform of the year-end bonus inShanghai private enterprises as a subject, from the year of1950to1956as time limit. Reflect the historical process of transformation of capitalistindustry and commerce in Shanghai by Shanghai private enterprises ofthe year-end bonus reform perspective, from a new side, the objectivepositioning of its historical role in the transformation of capitalist industryand commerce, and thus to explore reform methods of work, theideological and political mobilization, both employers and employeesto negotiate to solve the problem of communication, the practicalsignificance that trade unions actively participated in solutions toproblems, is also inspired by todays non-public economy to united frontwork and the party building of private enterprises.This paper gives a detailed description of the enterprises wage system before liberation of in Shanghai, wage levels, as well as theestablishment of the Year Award and the irrational elements exposure.Focuses on year-end bonus or double pay reform implementationprocess in three stages: three years of deliberation the trial stage, thetwo positive exploratory stage and one year of completion of thereform stage, and the implementation of different policies of the variousstages, the difficulties and response measures. Then, summarizes on thebasis of the actual effect of the reform of the year-end bonus. Finally,puts forward the enlightenment how to deal with the United Front of thenon-public economy workers and the party building of privateenterprises through the reform of the year-end bonus ordouble-income.
