Karl?Popper is a famous contemporary philosopher, his ideas involved in the philosophy of science, political philosophy, culture and many other fields, he is a prolific philosopher. This paper mainly focus on Popper’s early thought and medium-term ideas to expand the discourse, aimed at finding the essence of Popper’s political philosophy as well as the basis epistemological of political philosophy.This paper first introduces the research status of Popper’s political philosophy, we determine the idea of this study through the analysis of the ideological status.The starting point of Popper’s political philosophy is a critique of historism. Popper thought that history without regular, history of unpredictable and meaningless history to critisize the historism. Obtained through the analysis of the laws of history, there cannot be a regular pattern throughout the entire process of social history; historical forecast history is unscientific due to the impact of prophecy itself; through analysis of historical significance, we know history does not make sense due to the historical choice. Historical critism is carried out on the basis of Anti-induction.Through analysis and critique of the closed society, Popper derived that human society should be open to the critique of society, this open against blind obedience, advocating freedom of discussion and criticism, the epistemological basis of an open society is the critical spirit of Popper’s rationalism.Democracy and freedom are the essence of the Open Society, through Popper’s four paradox we obtained Popper’s view of democracy and freedom; democracy and freedom of thought is the embodiment of the falsification principle of Popper’s political philosophyPopper designed to describe the course of human history is not designed under the laws of the blueprint for an ideal society, but to constantly improve to better world through critique of the utopian project as well as the establishment of the new democracy and freedom on the basis of progressive social engineering. The epistemological basis of utopian engineering is a method of holism, human society should be to follow the trajectory of scientific growth, constant progress in the criticism and eliminate errors.Throughout the context, Popper’s view is the attitude on the critique of science. either in the search for truth or social reforms, guess-to refute the mechanism is the ideal program, we can only continue to try and improve the science and human society to progress.
