Qin And Han Dynasties Pension System Research

With the acceleration of aging, the problems of elderly supporting have became increasingly of concern for the people. The seeds of respect and dependent for the old, had already appeared as early as in the primitive society, and uninterrupting systematic and comprehensive. The establishment of the Qin and Han’s first unified centralized system of the country, marking the establishment of unified, systematic and perfect old-age protection system. Qin and Han perfect old-age protection system inherited and perfected the system of pre-Qin respect and dependent for the old and has been inherited and developed by later generations. Therefore, to explore and study the system of Qin and Han old-age protection system not only can help us to understand the overview of old-age protection system in the ancient Chinese society, but also can provide useful experience for the contemporary solution to the problem of aging. This article will use the perspective of multi-disciplinary (history, sociology, archaeology etc), the mean of combining documents and archaeological data to expl orate and research on the formation, basic content and historical value of the Qin and Han old-age protection system systematically.
