Linyi Dialect Phonetic Study (country-specific Ones)

Lanshan of Linyi is located in the southeast of Shandong Province, affiliated to Linyi City. Linyi (Lanshan) dialect belongs to Tapsirou Area dialect in Shandong. In recent years as the dialect research develops, lots of thesises are published which are all about dialect in different areas of Linyi. These thesises reflect the features of Linyi dialect from different aspects.In this thesis, the reasearch is based on the survey words table of dialect which is listed by The Institute of Linguistics of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. As Linyi (Lanshan) is the main investigation points, through the field research, case study, contemporary comparison, diachronic comparison and so on, this thesis aims to obtain the development law of Linyi.There are five chapters in this thesis. Chapter1is introduction. In this part, it gives a brief introduction of Linyi’s location, history, population and the current situation of language, etc. The second chapter describes the phonetic system comprehensively. The third chapter is about the homophony syllabary. The fourth chapter gives a conclusion for the general laws of Linyi dialects. It summarizes the evaluation of the general law from initial consonants, compound vowels and tone. The last chapter compares the Linyi dialects with putonghua with synchronic comparison in order to reveal the phonetic characteristics of Linyi dialects from different sides.
