This paper focuses on “game’s” and “movie’s”. First, it discusses the possibility of thetransformation which is from games to movies: In the process of games’ development, gamesabsorb many elements from movies; People, especially the game-players desire to see the trueimage take place of the virtual image. It brings a number of potential audiences; The creationswhich stride across different medias let people enter the same visual world from various ways.So we can get into games’ visual world by watching movies. Second, the paper studies theprocess of the adaptation: Step one,“game’s” reappears in “movie’s”, including thereappearance of characters, styles of sight and sound, events at the core. This shows thesimilar part of games and movies. Step two,“movie’s” substitutes for “games”:“dramaticnerve” substitutes for “game-played nerve”,“no choice” substitutes for “choice”,“emotionalcasting” substitutes for “embodiment”. This step tell us the differences between games andmovies. Lastly, the paper introduces a new trend of the transformation: The continuance andthe complement of storytelling. It also points out the independence of games and movies:Although games and movies are communicating with each other in depth, they are two kindsof substances and will not replace each other forever.
