Different Risk Situation Of Trust And Distrust Of Related Research

In recent decades, the study of trust has been involved in many fields, such associology, psychology, economics and management and so forth. The differentsubjects from their own perspectives have already studied trust at various levels.Trust taken as such an important role could not be separated from its importantfunction in today’s society. Nevertheless during the process of modern society, eitherthe systematical trust in social life or the mutual trust in the interpersonal relationshiphas been decreased at a degree. Furthermore, risk as the product of trustaccompaniment and its mutual relationship with trust has gradually been another hotissue of scholars’ study on trust. This research chooses university students as thesubjects and discusses the effect of risk on trust through the study on the relationshipbetween risk and trust. In the meantime, this research is expected to provide theprimary understanding of the trust situation and risky perceptional ability of today’suniversity students.This study is divided into two parts. The first part is the risk perceptionassessment questionnaire of university students which has been emended and editedaccording to relevant literature mainly. This questionnaire has been tested by itsvalidity and reliability and turns out to be the final formal questionnaire. The secondpart focuses on the implementation and test of this formal questionnaire. It addressesfive universities in Kunming, Yunnan and discusses the effect of risk on trust throughrelated statistic analysis. The research result displays:(1) The self-edited questionnaire of university students’ risk perceptionassessment has better constructive validity and could be divided into five dimensions.(2) The overall trust level of university students is at the middle level, there intothe score of distrust level is lower than the trust one. (3) The degree of university student’s trust has the difference in demographicvariables.(4) The risk perceptional ability of university students is at the medium level.(5) Different contexts result in different levels of university student’s riskperception.(6)The risk perception dimension of university students has relevance todemographic variables.(7) It is related between university student’s risk perception level and trust.(8) Grade, private risk and economical risk could foresee the trust level ofuniversity students effectively.
