Creation and performance of literary and art, by the carrier of performance market, comes to stand in the line of the most value-creative industry forms in cultural industries. With its rich artistic connotation and multi-level aesthetic value as the characteristic, it has become one of the most loved forms of entertainment after China’s per capita GDP reached$3,000. China’s cultural reform is in full swing; the Cultural Industry Promotion Plan was implemented:the seventh session of the Sixth Plenary Session of the central cultural discussion; the12th Five Year Plan on Cultural Reform and Development was released; during the two sessions, Premier Wen Jiabao mentioned the reform and development several times in government work report. In this background, the research of performance market and the deepening of reform have a positive and practical significance.The performance market has a long history. Its management system changes experienced a journey from free development before liberation, to the national planning after the founding of a new nation and finally to the dual-system development track of the culture system reform. In the historical condition of that time, the various management systems really play a certain positive role in the development of the performance market. But with the development of society and economy, the performance market is also facing many pains and the reform of problems. The management mode of cultural industry including art performance of the United States, Britain and South Korea provides us with very good experience. According to Marx’s art production theory, Benjamin and other western Marxist scholar have developed critical theory of cultural industry. Using literature research method, case investigation method and data analysis as well as comparison research method, the theory analyzes problems and countermeasures in China’s cultural market system reform. On the basis of combing of the system and development of China’s performance market, the dissertation points out that the current reforms have some stage practical results and problems of performance market, the study puts forwards some suggestions. These problems will be further discussed, mainly including: Core planning features of system are still apparent; Property rights of the troupes are not clear; Efficiency is not high for the alienation of industry and market; Micro management is left behind. The suggestions are as follows:On the macro level, changing core planning; establishing a clear property rights system; realizing the industrialization operation. On the micro level, perfecting the investment system; regulating the perfect fares; cultivating national cultural consumption. The author expects the suggestions would help the reform and development of the performance market.
