In the middle of nineteen eighties, Wang Shuo became the most popular writer in Literary world all of a sudden. His distinctive personal commercial style, make many novels adapted for film and television works, and to create a high level of commercial success and cultural sensation. Today public and consumption culture has been developed, the novel into a film, television and other forms of imaging has become an inevitable development trend. The process of explore how to transit the novel text to movie footage which is a complex process of adaptation of the plot structure, temporal processing, visual modeling is a meaningful research direction.For the film adaptation, the novel became a starting point of writing, which offers materials like plot, characters, story structure and so on. So it is crucial in the process of film adaptation to use the original novel provided materia. As a literature method, the novel express life with words, while the film is shot picture of life, even film scripts, although it is in the form of the text, the inner requirement in novel text is quite different,"visualization" is one of the most important rules. Therefore, from text to image is a process from creating to recreating, a transformation from reading to watching. The director needs to consider how to use the film’s own art standards, make the adaptated novel fit the image expression of need, conforms to the viewer of the film viewing habits.The adaptation process from novel to film also can be viewed as a process from words to sound and picture image visualization. Only when the text on paper become the screen picture and sound, the evolution from the novel to the imaging finished, the process of adapting will become a process that directors and screenwriters can reinterpret after reading novels again. Also it can be considered as a visualised dismemberment of the novel. The paper tries to discuss the cultural meaning and cultural psychology behind the cultural phenomenon caused by the transformation of the two art forms from two aspects, one is the film feature, commercial elements of Wang Shuo’s work, the other is the research on how to use the film language to translate and recreate Wang Shuo’s by the doctor.
