Beijing Olympics Park Central Area Sculpture Research

With the deepening of the China urbanization process, Public Art as a part of urban culture has begun to receive more attention. At the same time, Sculptures as the main manifestations of urban culture, also have become one of the most important research projects now. Although the theories and researches of the Public Art are increasing gradually, but as the Chinese Public Art research are in the initial stage, related works and discuss are also mainly stop at the introduction of the concept stage, so we have not build a set of complete theoretical system in China. This article writing from the point of view of case study, from research the example of public sculptures in the Beijing Olympic Park, analysis and compare with these public sculptures features. It tries to find the way to understand the Chinese public sculpture from a small entry point.
