Chinese Folk Dance includes many different types and patterns. In terms of the folkdance of Han nationality, which has the largest number of dancer and the most extensiveaudience, it consists of different patterns of dance, such as: Jiaozhou Yangko Dance,Haiyang Yangko Dance, Drum Yangko Dance, the Northeast Yangko Dance, NorthernShaanxi Yangko Dance, Hebei Yangko Dance, Anhui Flower-Drum Lanterns, YunnanFestive Lanterns, etc. According to different region, it could be classified to “northerndance and southern lanterns”.No matter northern dance or southern lanterns, each type of dance has its own style andfeature, so that it could form into abundant and distinctive dances. The “Three Bends” isone of the most outstanding styles in the Chinese Folk Dance. Anhui Flower-DrumLanterns and Jiaozhou Yangko Dance are taken as the object of study in this thesis. Theposture of the “Three Bends” is selected as the point of penetration. The culturebackground and regional characteristics of the posture are analyzed through interview,observation, theoretical analyzation, and other methods. The impact, which hasinfluence on the formation of the dance form and movement rhythm, is studied in termsof regional culture. The research result is used in practice to guide the dance teachingand the performance.The research result shows that the formation of the “Three Bends” dance is influencedby the culture background and the regional characteristics. The culture factor includesdance props, aesthetic consciousness, dance movement rhythm, physiological structure,and so on. The posture of Chinese folk dance is impacted by the Han’s agriculture andthe geographical position difference between south and north. A deep understanding ofthe humanity and region characteristics can improve the result of teaching and training,and protect the essence of folk dance.This thesis intends to explore the different dance which source from different cultureand region characteristics. The reason of formation, as well as the feature ofdevelopment and inheritance is also analyzed. It is discussed that the intrinsic meaningis reflected from two different dance formats on the same dance posture. In these cases,the relationship between dance culture and dance posture is studied through multi-level.
