During the process of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, Chinese verbal quantifiers is not only a very serious difficult for the teachers, but also for the foreign students. The purpose of this paper is to find the characteristics of Thailand students’acquisition of Chinese verbal quantifiers, and based on this, will give the recommendation on the feasibility of teaching Thai students the Chinese verbal quantifiers, which makes the students’grasping and wielding the Chinese verbal quantifiers more easily, and thus to improve their Chinese.In this paper, from the point of view of error analysis, through a questionnaire survey to collect data and natural way to the Thailand students who are studying in Southwest University as the research object. The respondents extend all over the primary, intermediate and advanced levels, and then analyzed the errors of using Chinese verbal quantifiers by Thai students, then reached a conclusion about the causes of the errors are mainly these:the negative transfer of mother tongue, the excessive generalization of target language rules, the individual learner factors and teaching material defects, and so on. Based on the causes of errors, the writer made the questionnaire survey combined with the situation of Thai students using Chinese verbal quantifiers in Beijing Language and Culture University students HSK composition corpus, and summed up the characteristics of Thailand students in using Chinese verbal quantifiers. And then put forward teaching strategies in line with the Thai students’acquisition regular pattern of Chinese verbal quantifiers:To strengthen the comparative study of Chinese and Thai verbal quantifiers; to pay more attention to the comparison of the Chinese verbal quantifiers whose meaning and usage are very similar; to teach Chinese verbal quantifiers step by step according to the students’Chinese level; to attach importance to the reproduction of knowledge point of the verbal quantifiers in the next stage. At the end, import the cognition of metaphor and metonymy theory into the Chinese verbal quantifiers teaching to the Thai students, in the hope of utilize the cognitive understanding to help Thai students’acquisition of Chinese verbal quantifiers.
