College group events may impact the students and their family, ethnic and religious conflicts, diplomatic disputes and international relations, school and social stability.The mass incidents in universities are far-reaching and have great damages, and it must be prevented. The article analyzes the role of the ideological and political education in the prevention of mass incidents in universities. There are three main aspects: warning and guide, communication, and making comfortable. It is not enough to prevent mass incidents only through the ideological and political education; we want to build a overlapping, effective and systematic mechanisms. It includes: the mechanisms of organization and coordination, education and persuasion, information-gathering and publicity-research.First, the construction organization and coordination mechanism for the prevention of organized college group events to provide the guarantee, the main building of three related organizational system. Second, establish a daily comprehensive education and persuasion mechanism, college group events digestion in the first place; build political theory education and professional education courses combine education system, schools, families’mechanism combining education and persuasion to establish universal education with a mechanism that combines education and persuasion. Third, establish an effective, comprehensive, high-quality information-gathering mechanisms, comprehensive grasp of college teachers and students of ideological trends, specifically the scope of intelligence information to determine the sources of intelligence information, the establishment of communication and feedback mechanisms. Fourth, build promotion of mechanisms for prevention and treatment of the event to provide college group decision making, mainly the establishment of mechanisms and prevention advocacy research group events.In summary, the college group currently has the likelihood of the events, but in the event of its impact will be extensive and far-reaching.
