Juvenile Delinquents Study Of Community Correction In Our Country

Juvenile delinquency is a prominent problem disturbing people all over the world andquite urgent to be solved. Since the1980s, Juvenile delinquency is becoming more andmore serious in China. Considering the juvenile offenders are different with adultoffender in psychological characteristics, a concept of community correction for thejuvenile offenders came into being. This paper is trying to explore the most compatiblesystem of community correction for juvenile offenders in china through the analyzingthe basic theoretical issues of the community correctional system, studying the foreignsystem of the community correction for juvenile offenders, and finding out the statusand deficiency of community correction system for juvenile offenders in our country.The paper is divided into four parts. The first part will elaborate the connotation ofcommunity correction for juvenile offenders their psychological characteristic andbehavior characteristic, and the theoretical basis of the system. The second part statesthe foreign community correction system for juvenile offenders though the legal support,the agency management, correction and corrective project. In the third part of the paper,it induce the reality of community correction obstacles in our country from the minorcrime situation in our country, the historical evolution of community correction forjuvenile offenders, and the status of the community correction in china. The fourth partis trying to perfect our country’s system of the community correction by perfecting thesupport of law, management system and education system, the community correctionwork teams and other supporting systems in relative. This paper is expected to causediscuss through a series of proposals, and provide a helpful reference to establish theperfect community correction system for juvenile offenders in China.
