The Current Situation Of China-rok Relations, Plight And Countermeasures

Although China and South Korea have made a great progress in political,economic and cultural field since their establishment of diplomatic relations, there arealso some negative factors exsiting between two countries such as the detest emotionbetween two countries people and the lack of strategic belief in handling the event ofWarship Cheonan. To understand the current situation between China and SouthKorea, this paper carry out questionair aimed at experts on China and South Korea.From the result of the questionair, we can see that from experts respective,economic cooperation is the stronggest power to promote the relationship betweenChina and South Korea, while nationlism and dispute in history and traditional cultureand Sino-North Korea relationship and US-South Korea alliance have prevent Chinaand South Korea from developing a closer relationship. Despite it, experts’ postiveassessment on the image and comprehensive national power of China and SouthKorea provide a solid foundation for two countries beneficial cycle.To promote China and South Korea relationship, this paper suggest that twocountries should devote much attention to Six-party talks and exploring to translate itto a “process-oriented constructivism” multi-security institution to enhance strategicbelief between China and South Korea; besides it, China and South Korea shouldtry to mutual admit the other side’s postion on culutural and historical issue.
