Rational Thinking Of The Urban And Rural Coordinated Development Of China

Coordinated development of urban and rural areas considers rural and urbanareas as an organic whole, balances kinds of relationships of urban and rural issues,breaks the dual structure of urban-rural split, and narrows the gap between rural andurban areas to establish a positive interactive urban-rural relationship, which makesurban-rural develop comprehensively, harmoniously and sustainably in order toassort with all aspects of politics, economy, culture construction of the urban-rural toachieve the goal of the urban-rural integration. Coordinated development of urbanand rural areas is an important part of social development. Since the1980s, thehigh-speed development of China’s urban and rural economics has made a greatprogress in fulfilling people’s material life, and people have become well-off. Chinahas now entered a critical period of building a moderately prosperous society.In thelate20th century, the gap of rural residents and urban residents in terms of income,education, health care, welfare, housing, and environment is expanding rapidly.Since the beginning of the21st century, to the economic and social developmentissues, Chairman Hu Jintao proposed the scientific concept of development, thePlenum of the Party’s building a new socialist countryside, and the seventh sessionof the Fifth Plenary Session’s painting a blueprint for the “12th Five-Year Plan” andpursuing the concept of governance of enriching urban and rural residents, whichfully reflects the great attention of the party in the new century.The paper maily study and probe into theories of the urban and ruralcoordinated development home and abroad, from an angle of Marxism phylosophy,combining with the development status of China’s urban-rural relations to reach thehighest aim of making “people” in urban and rural disorders acquire free andcomprehensive development. The paper can be classified into three parts:PartⅠ t he significance of coordinated developmentof urban and rural areas.Firstly, it clarifies the meaning of urban and rural coordinated development, pointesout the characters of the times, integrity, equality and interaction, balanced symbiosisand so on. Firstly, the main contradiction is analyzed in thecoordinated development of urban and rural areas in economic, political, and culturalaspects; secondly, the reasons of the main contradiction in the coordinateddevelopment of urban and rural areas are analyzed.Part Ⅲ the principles and methods in the coordinated development of urban andrural areas.
