After30years of reform and opening up, China’s economic development has madesignificant achievements. However, the urban-rural dual economic structure still exist,the phenomenon of China’s dual economic structure is particularly serious at minorityareas. Minority areas subject to the special natural conditions, historical and socialdifferences, leading to uneven urban and rural economic development in minority areas,one important manifestation of the content is the urban-rural commodity markets in theregion segmentation.Commodity market segmentation market can not play the role ofoptimizing resource allocation, and its’ function can not be brought into full play.Minority areas of urban and rural commodity market segmentation has become animportant force in the development of regional economic health. China has vast territoryof minority areas, large proportion of rural population, weak infrastructure, agriculturaldevelopment slow, especially the number of cities and rural radiation is relativelyweak. Farmers increasing output without increasing, one important reason is the lack ofcoordination of urban and rural commodity markets, especially in minority areas of thedevelopment of rural commodity market system lag, affect the process of modernizationof national region, hinder our country as a whole, the formation of the unified marketstructure. There are important theoretical significance and of great practical significancein coordinating development of urban and rural commodity markets in ethnic areas toimprove local people’s living standards, narrowing the development gap betweenregions, and strengthening national unity, promote the harmonious development ofsociety.This paper first analysis the writing background, significance, and the theoreticalresults of existing studies of commodity markets and will have to draw on to some ofthe basic theory, on the basis of the results of existing theory and research, this paper isbased on the perspective of the efficiency of the transaction in minority areas of urbanand rural commodity marketsthe operation mechanism.Because of the national urbanand rural division of labour as well as the constraints of the urban and rural conditionsled to differences in minority areas of urban and rural commodity market tradingefficiency, which led to the urban-rural commodity market segmentation, eventuallyleading to the industrial, agricultural products circulation.Therefore required to reducethe national urban and rural commodity market trading efficiency, in order to achievethe promotion of coordinated development of the minority areas of urban and ruralcommodity markets.Finally, this paper analysis a series of problems of the ethnic areas of urban andrural commodity markets exist in the development process, and put forwardcorresponding suggestions to solve ethical region urban and rural commodity marketdevelopment.
