Deng Xiaoping's Ecological Civilization Thought Research

Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of ecological civilization are an important components of Deng Xiaoping theory. It is very important to clear the source, main contents, development of the theory and the contemporary value of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of the ecological civilization. There is essential significance on promoting the theory and practice of the ecological civilization in our country.This article elaborated Deng Xiao-ping’s thoughts of ecological civilization from five aspects.In the first part, the connotation of ecological civilization is to define. This essay attempts to introduce the historical development of the civilization form.From the perspectives of diachronism and points out that the ecological civilization is post-industry civilization; It also attempts to introduce the relationship among the ecological civilization and material civilization, political civilization, spiritual civilization from the perspectives of from the perspectives of synchronism.In the second part, the source of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of ecological civilization is to explore.It will develop mainly from these three aspects, Marx and Engels’ecology civilized view, ecological ideas in Chinese ancient thoughts and Mao Zedong’s thoughts of ecological civilizationIn the third part, the main content of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of ecological civilization is to elaborate. It mainly contains agriculture sustainable development view, the rational development and utilization of resources, the rational development and utilization of resources, environment protection, population control, and Ecological system civilization thought.In the fourth part, the theory development of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of ecological civilization is to elaborate. Jiang ZeMin raised environment protection and Sustainable development to the strategic position of development while Hu JinTao explored the notion "Sustainable development" on a whole as "Scientific Outlook on Development".In the fifth part, the essay attempts to elaborate the practical significance of Deng Xiaoping’s thoughts of ecological civilization.In order to construct ecological civilization, the ecological consciousness of the whole society should be increased, science and technology should be relied on, the ecological civilization of science and technology should be established. Besides, laws and regulations as well as policies on ecology should be legislated and the ecological system should be perfected in order that an ecological systematical civilization can be guaranteed. Finally, international cooperation should be enhanced so that we can make joint efforts to cope with environmental problems.
