An Analysis Of Social Support For The Elderly Left-behind In LX Country Of Pingxiang City

China is the country with the largest aging population, as it’s in the social transformation, economic and social changes have brought tremendous impact to the endowment of the rural elderly. The outflow of young labor force in rural areas further exacerbated the rural aging and pension pressure, and thus it’s more severe than in urban and rural pension system is facing serious challenges. The pension problems of the elderly left behind in rural areas has become a major social problem. This thesis investigates the material support, life care support and spiritual comfort support of the elderly left behind in LX County Jiangxi Province, the result shows that lack of social support has become a serious threat to the lives of the elderly left behind. Their support for the elderly is still based on family-oriented, but many of them cannot get the support from their children, without other social support, the situation gets worse in their later years. It is imperative to build a full range of left-behind rural elderly social support system to alleviate rural endowment pressure. Finally, the author proposes that the government build the whole pension system, the third organization increase the aid efforts, and the community eliminate ageism in order to protect the rights of the elderly left behind in rural areas.
