Research On The Influence Of Social Support On The Subjective Well-Being Of Rural Left-Behind Elderly

In the report of the 19 th national congress of the communist party of China(CPC),the government proposed to provide care and service to the left-behind elderly in rural areas to increase their happiness.With the development of society,the material life of rural left-behind elderly people has been gradually improved,and scholars have begun to pay more attention to the psychological and spiritual aspects of rural left-behind elderly people.On the basis of summarizing the research on rural left-behind elderly people,this study,based on the social support theory,discusses the influence of subjective support,objective support and support utilization degree on the subjective well-being of rural left-behind elderly people,and analyzes it to put forward reasonable suggestions.The samples were taken from 3 towns and villages in Zhongjiang county,Deyang city,Sichuan province.A total of 221 rural left-behind elderly people were selected as the research objects by random sampling method.Their social support and subjective well-being were measured by the social support rating scale of Xiao Shuiyuan scholar and the SWB scale of memorial university of Newfoundland respectively.Descriptive analysis,regression analysis and interaction analysis were conducted on the survey results with SPSS statistical software,and the following main conclusions were drawn:1.For the left-behind elderly in rural areas,subjective support has a positive impact on their subjective well-being.For the research object,he has high subjective support,and his subjective well-being is also high.2.For the left-behind elderly in rural areas,objective support has a positive impact on their subjective well-being.For the research object,he has high objective support and high subjective well-being.3.For the left-behind elderly in rural areas,support utilization has a positive impact on their subjective well-being.For the research objects,the higher the support utilization rate is,the higher the subjective well-being is.--take three towns in Zhongjiang county,Deyang city as an example4.For the left-behind elderly in rural areas,their individual characteristics will have a certain impact on their subjective well-being,including education level,number of daughters and income.5.Social support has a buffering effect on the subjective well-being of rural left-behind elderly men.For male left-behind elderly,social support can alleviate the negative impact of income reduction on subjective well-being.Based on the research conclusions and the previous literature,this study puts forward some corresponding suggestions from the perspective of social support,covering three specific aspects,that is,subjective support,objective support and the use of support,which have certain reference significance for improving the subjective happiness of the rural left-behind elderly.
