The Research About The Main Political Participation Problems And Countermeasure Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers

With the development of economy and society, the population of China’s new generation of migrant workers has reached nearly1hundred million. They have become the main component of industrial workers in the country and made enormous contribution for the socialist modernization of our country, the improvement of the level of urbanization and people’s living condition in cities. However, the state system, economic cost, social environment, their quality and other factors have influenced the new generation of migrant workers becoming the" political margins", The level of political participation is restricted. Their legitimate rights and interests are hard to protect. This triggered a series of non institutionalized political participation behavior, and affected the development of our socialist democracy and socialist harmonious society construction. The study of new generation migrant workers’ political participation contributes to the promotion of China’s political civilization construction and the realization of social justice. It as well helps to maintain the political stability and social harmony. Therefore, research of new generation migrant workers’ political participation and the countermeasures is significantly meaningful for the development of democratic politics in China.In this paper, with the integrated use of political science, economics, sociology and other related knowledge, and through drawing lessons from experts and scholars research results, China’s new generation of migrant workers and the concept of their political participation have been defined, On this basis, the paper sums up the new generation of migrant workers political participation achievements. The main problems, namely, the institutionalized political participation suspending, non institutionalized political participation increasing, indifferent political attitudes, weak awareness and vacuity of political participation, etc, have been brought up. Moreover, from the government system, the interests expression mechanism, economic cost, social environment and the new generation of migrant workers’quality those five dimensions, the paper sums up the constraints of the new generation of migrant workers political participation factor and finally puts forward the reform of census register system, perfection of the legal system, expansion of economy energetically, broadening of political participation channels and aggrandizement oneself quality as countermeasures,in order to gradually improve the political participation of the new generation of migrant workers environment, and constantly improve their level of political participation.
