Study On The Issue Of Political Participation Of New Generation Of Migrant Workers’

The new generation of migrant workers is one of the important forces in the construction of socialism with Chinese characteristics, and to ensure their political participation is the method to have them integrate into city life more rapidly. Based on the former scholars’ research and the related materials, this paper used the method of filling out questionnaires and making field research to obtain some detailed data. Through these detailed information, this paper have analyzed and summarized the desire of political participation for our country’s new generation migrant workers, the obstacles they encountered and the distance between reality and ideal. This paper also deeply summarized the way of this group’s political participation and the results of their participation, and also analyzed the difficulties and the root cause in their process of political participation.Through making field research and studying former scholars’ research, I realized that the new generation of migrant workers has stronger desire to involve in the political participation, and concentrates more on country’s political life. But they are always restricted by the factors of subjective and objective. According to this actual situation, this paper analyzed from the aspects of political, economic, cultural, social and agricultural and proposed the matched system reform to promote their level of political participation. Hoping can draw the attention of the social and the related government departments and solve their political participation problems or propose targeted suggestions.This research is mainly based on the questionnaires, which aimed at Zhuhai city where youth migrant workers concentrated and the workers aged 16 to 35. Overall, with the development of society and the improvement of their own quality, the new generation of migrant workers pay more attention to political policy and hope enhance their political status to change current situation, thus they can affect on the government policy. As their low efficiency of participation, they cannot practice correctly and there is a disorderly phenomenon. Therefore, the new generation of migrant workers still has room for improvement in the future quality of political participation.
