A Study On The Political Participation Of The New Generation Of Migrant Workers Under The Background Of Rural Revitalization

Political participation is not only related to the development of democratic politics in modern countries,but also about the legitimate rights and interests of citizens.As a legitimate citizen of our country,the political participation of the new generation of migrant workers should be valued and guaranteed.Our country always attached great importance to the survival and development of migrant workers and safeguarded their legitimate rights and interests,but the new generation of migrant workers is not only lack of political rights,but also at the bottom of society.Political participation usually refers to the behavioral activities of all citizens,which exert direct or indirect influence on government decision-making or public political life related to government activities through legal or illegal means.Under different political viewpoints,the definition of political participation is different.Broad political views hold that as long as there are people and society,there will be politics.Politics involves not only power,government,but also social and public affairs.Political participation includes not only micro-political acts that have an impact on government decision-making,but also a series of activities carried out by ordinary citizens on national and social public affairs from a wide range of political perspectives.Every era has a "new generation",which decides to understand the new generation of migrant workers from a developmental perspective.A new generation of migrant workers account for more than half of migrant workers,becoming the mainstay of migrant workers in this era.A new generation of migrant workers has duality and be marginalized under the system.Duality refers to the separation of the household registration area from long-term residence and workplace.It also involves the identity of farmers and migrant workers.Marginalization refers to the flow between rural and urban areas.The lack of rights and interests is not a sense of belonging.Its political participation includes both rural and urban areas,and its political participation in urban and rural areas is insufficient.The proposal of rural revitalization is conducive to solving the problem of migrant workers,although the apparent revitalization of the countryside seems to have little to do with migrant workers.Rural problems have been around for a long time,and rural development is increasingly uneven.In order to solve this problem,the state proposed rural revitalization,and the strategy from the proposalto the formation of opinions and the formation of a sound plan,lasted less than four months.Rural revitalization and urbanization are not contradictory.Only by promoting the integration of urban and rural development and deepening the social mobility system can the new generation of migrant workers retreat.In the context of rural revitalization,all activities related to political life in the rural areas or in rural areas can be called political participation,including not only elections,voting,but also rural livelihood issues,such as infrastructure,social security,education and other issues to obtain policy information,express personal appeals,contact with village officials,the government,the police station,etc.China's rural development is uneven and inadequate,and political participation varies according to politics,economy and culture.Under the background of rural revitalization,the political participation of the new generation of migrant workers has achieved certain results.Its participation methods have increased,participation channels have been broadened;participation has become more diversified;from passive participation to active participation;and the degree of rationalization of participation has increased.But there are still some problems that the marginalization of political participation;low level of political participation in elections;poor participation in political participation;low participation in public affairs and so on.The reasons are mainly due to the political aspect,the fragmented urban-rural dual system and the lagging participation system;in the economic aspect,the social mobility of migrant workers is limited,resulting in the transmission of poverty from to the old age to the young generation migrant workers;social and cultural aspects,rural publicity influence and the individualized impact of a new generation of migrant workers.To improve and deepen the political participation of a new generation of migrant workers,we must break the urban-rural dual system and improve the political participation system.Safeguard and improve rural people's livelihood,increase their economic income,and ensure employment;reshape rural public culture,cultivate their public spirit,and raise their awareness of political participation.
