With the in-depth development of globalization, the enthusiasm of people to the country’s foreign affairs continues to improve. The impact of people on the country’s foreign policy is still increasing. As an important supplement to traditional diplomacy, public diplomacy attaches great importance to governmentsChina’s public diplomacy is divided into three different stages of development, namely, the pursuit of international recognition, the pursuit of international cooperation and the pursuit of the "harmonious development". This paper discusses the third phase of public diplomacy. Level and long-term goal of the new era of public diplomacy, the immediate goal is to crack the plight of public opinion in the process of peaceful development, and shaping the peace-loving and responsible image of the country, in the long run in order to obtain international match with their own strength right to speak. The practice of China’s public diplomacy contains government relations, media, diplomacy, cultural exchanges and participation in foreign affairs and other forms.We must note that public diplomacy is now only in its preliminary developmental stage and is encountered with occasional challenges in terms of public opinions and fierce international competitions. Besides, there still exist various tough issues in terms of its main body, its objects, manners, which need to be addressed properly. Therefore, many tasks have to be completed, such as improving our sense on public diplomacy, specifying the objects of public diplomacy through investigation and researches; and making better use of various mediums to expand the platform of China’s public diplomacy. All in all, all the above-mentioned strategies aim at consummate China’s public diplomacy.
