In this paper, the focus of modernShanghai women of leisure space as discussed, one discusses womensissues Ladies’Journal(Issued Monthly) as a research center explores theEvolution of the modern female leisure space and expansion, andexplored the relationship between the city and women’s leisure space.Ladies’Journal, founded in1915by the Shanghai CommercialPress,a large magazine for women issued.January28,1932, Japanesetroops blew up on the Commercial Press, and it discontinued.As thelongest female publication in the modern history of China, as isregarded as the most important reference women publications,torecord a variety of changes of modern experience in China. This articleselect the material about modern Shanghai in Ladies’Journal,toillustrate changes that the female leisure space undergone.This article is divided into three parts of the introduction, body andconclusion. The Introduction introduces the Ladies’Journal, ModernShanghai space related research situation;the body of three chapters,Chapter I briefly describes some of the profiles of the Ladies’Journal;The starting point of Ladies’Journal in the second chapter describes theoverview of the modern female leisure space; The third chapterexplores the relationship between modern Shanghai women leisurespace and urban development.
