A Research On Cultivation And Education Of The Activists To Join The Communist Party Of China In The Contemporary Colleges And Universities

This paper attempts to explore the cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges and universities on the whole, both theoretically and practically. Based on world situation, national situation, party situation and the actual development of higher education, it concerns how the cultivation and education of college students’ activists develops currently, including problems rising in training and educating college students to join the party, the specific methods for those activists’training, and how to service the training practice. Aimed at improving the cultivation and education of college students to join the party, this paper falls into the following six parts:1. The situation of cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges and universities. Firstly, the new changes of world situation, national situation, party situation and the actual development of higher education pose higher requirements for training and educating college students to join the party. Secondly, colleges and universities have developed into the main sources of party members. Thirdly, the mainstream of contemporary college students’ political ideology has taken on a positive and up going trend. Finally, college students’activists born in the1990s have grown into the main body of this team.2. The significance of cultivating and educating activists in contemporary colleges and universities. In the long run, a good cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges can store reserve talents for the party organization, making them qualified constructors and reliable successors of constructing Chinese characteristic socialism. Practically speaking, the significance lies in that through the training and education, it is beneficial for the college students’activists to establish right values of joining the party, correct their motivations, strengthen their ideal beliefs, promote their moral realm and sublime their values of life. In this way, these activists are able to obtain an overall development and make up their minds to devote to the communist cause.3. The instructional theory of cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges and universities. Theory is to direct practice. It is a must to construct a theoretical frame for an overall and scientific training of the college students’activists, which, specifically speaking, includes the following items. The theoretical basis is Marxism-Leninism doctrine of founding the Party, and the scientific guide should be the Chinese Communist Party construction theory of Marxism while the practical foundation is the Constitution of the Communist Party of China.4. The methods of cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges and universities. At present, the education of the college students’ activists mainly relies on Party schools in colleges and universities. This kind of single teaching method is far from enough and should be replaced by a "Four Combinations" method. To put it in a more specific way, we should combine the university-entrance education with the Party-joining formative education, combine the group study of Party constitution with the Communist Youth League’s recommending excellent students, combine daily training with Party school’s education and combine theoretical improvement with social practice. Compared with the traditional method, the "Four Combinations" is more comprehensive, harmonious and sustainable, which better meets the requirements of Scientific Development View.5. The system and mechanism of cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges and universities. Only when the methods of optimizing the Party-joining training is connected with construction of system and mechanism can the cultivation and education become more effective. The system and mechanism of cultivation and education of activists in contemporary colleges covers various aspects. In this part, the author explores the issue from the following five perspectives:how to train them according to different levels, practical training for living, educational security, service linkage as well as assessment and management.6. The practical case of cultivation and education of Party activists in Shandong University. The thorough course of training the college students’activists is a practice, ranging from the theoretical source, developing basis to the test standard. In this part, the author takes the Party-joining training in Shandong University as an example. In order to unify theory and practice, some experience and several specific measures are presented, including how Shandong University strengthens the Party activists’training from the reality and how it creates a new situation of training activists in colleges in a reformatory and innovative way.
