The four biggest officer schools include Northeast Military Academy, YunnanMilitary Academy, Baoding Military Academy and Whampoa Military Academy.Northeast Institute is firstly called Northeast China Institute, which was built up inthe Gangue33years. Its establishment laid the foundation for the development of theNortheast Military Education, and also greatly facilitated the Modernization of theNortheast military. Zhang and his son ruled the Northeast during1919, Zhang Zuolinrelaunched Military Academy in the former Manchuria Military Academy site, wherehe trained military personnel. In1928, Zhang Xueliang changed the school name forthe Northeast Military Academy, and unified the other Northeast Military Educationinstitutions which were owned by Northeast Military Academy. From1919to1931,Northeast Military Academy was held eleven, in which graduates was total of tenthousand, otherwise a variety of specialty classes, seminars, and more than1000graduates. Not only has it gradually become a culture of higher, secondary andelementary officers’ military school, but also did it develop a number of militarypersonnel. The foundation of Northeast Military Academy also promoted theModernization of Education in China, planted the seeds for revolution, infected freshblood for the Chinese Army, and sung the harbinger of a new military educationreform.
