The Peasant Workers’s Political Participation Dilemma Analysis And Paths

In our country, since the1980s, farmers form the most underdeveloped areas, especially in the countryside began to move into cities and towns, thus forming "the tide of migrant workers" which only happens in socialist states. This phenomenon appeared in the process of China’s reform and opening up policy, and with the further step of the reform and open policy especially with the further development of market economic system and ownership economy improvement, the peasant workers’social problem will increasingly complex and the influence will also enlarge. In China,"Migrant workers" is a unique social group, they are the combination of two identities, which is as farmers in rural status and professional workers in city. It is this special combination led to the weak position of migrant workers, and makes them hard to give full play to any society identity which the right authority gives. On the one hand, they lives in the city and play roles as city workers in the society, but because of his special status union, they have certain limits in the city’s political rights and economic rights, their life in city are at the edge. On the other hand, they were born in the countryside, from the birth moment they are already empowered farmer’s social identity, no matter where they go they all can’t get rid of this social attributes. Due to this combination of special identity and special career made them at the edge of the city society. Such a huge number of social groups, whether they participate in politics and the political participation in good or bad situation will closely linked with socialist social harmony and stability. Therefore, this article is after a lot of reading, thinking of the migrant workers and made them as the research object, trying to analysis them deeply in the political reality, which the migrant workers facing situation and restriction factors. And based on the actual situation which the migrant workers are facing, propose some reasonable countermeasures, in order to solve the migrant workers’political participation in an orderly way practically and effectively, thus promoting the development of the socialist democratic politics and building a harmonious socialist society, make sure social harmony and stability.This article is divided into six parts; the first part of this paper is the theoretical formation, it mainly introduces the research background of the political participation of the migrant workers, the significance of the research and the research methods, and also makes a brief review of the research achievements the previous research did. The second part of the article mainly defining the concepts, and points out that the particularity of the peasant-workers’ political participation and its significance. The third part put all words to discuss the present situation of the political participation of the migrant workers. The fourth part mainly analysis the dilemmas of migrant workers are facing during the political process and analysis it in the subjective and objective way. The fifth part is in the foundation of the first four parts, it mainly propose some political paths to promote the feasibility of migrant workers’political participation, in order to provide some guidance for migrant workers. The last part is the conclusion of the paper.
