Migrant Workers And Political Participation Research

Peasant-workers is a special community which appears in the process of chinese modernization. As the result of the special household registration system, peasant-workers has formed unique identity. The social status of the groups involved in the political situation in the new period is now showing its unique characteristics .Be the social monority community in the city , the working farmer was rejected outside in the city political living.The political participation of the peasant workers is worth paying great attention . In this paper ,the research is based on the field survey and analyses with the related theories. The peasant workers work in the city ,but their political rights are neglected and they are walking on the fringer of the politics and dissociated from the country and the city ,therefore, the non-institutional participations increase, which seriously influences the stability of the country .The current urgent affair is taking measures to guide and advance the political participation of the peasant workers ,making them become the driving force and growing point in chinese political democratization and chinese politcal modernization .The paper disscusses the situation and the countermeasure of the peasant workers'political participation ,suggests supporting system to lead and promote the development of the democratic politics in China.The thesis is divided into three parts .The first part points mainly out derivation of the political participation of the peasant workers in China. analyses the present condition and the characteristic of the peasant workers according to the on-the-spot investigation materials. The second part analyses the restrictive factors of the peasant workers'political participation. The third part suggests the countermeasure of guiding and promoting the peasant workers'political participation.
