The special group of "rural remaining women" is produced with the process of China’s industrialization and urbanization, which is formed under the combined effect and limitations of China’s urban and rural dualistic system structures, the concept of gender, cultural qualities of rural remaining women, and other factors. Since reforming and opening policy, with China’s social transformation and the continuous process of urbanization, the rural surplus labor force began to transfer to the city in the large-scale. However, due to the limitations of China’s urban and rural institutional structures and the urban-rural split of the household registration management system, most of the rural labor force in the city are engaged in non-agricultural work, but still are the farmers identity,who enjoy the resources and benefit less than urban household, let alone his family migration. Therefore,"part of the flow, part of the left-behind "is the most reasonable choice in the interests of rural households. However, under the effect of the traditional social division of labor and social gender perspective, as well as feudal thought of "men are out, women are in","the men are strong, women are weak" lead, men become the main target of the flow, the women can only stay at home to shoulder this agricultural production,family support and parental responsibility alone, which should be shared by the couple.Thus, in China’s rural areas will form a large group of "rural remaining women ",especially in rural Henan province. Henan Province is the most populated province, is also a major agricultural province, which has a lager of the rural labor output quantity,and the phenomenon of rural remaining women is more obvious, even more impact in society.Due to the absence of her husband’s family, today’s rural "remaining women hold up the whole piece of Heaven", not only is the mainstay of the family, but also the main force in the agricultural production in the domestic, agricultural, rural development have played a pivotal role. Therefore, to carry out education and training on remaining women in rural areas is particularly important. The methods of document analysis and field survey are used in this paper. In the field survey, using structured interviews and participant observation methods by rural remaining women as a case study, as well as a certain amount of questionnaires, so as to understand the education and training status on rural remaining women in Henan Province, to analyze the impacts and limitations of education and training on rural remaining women, to explore the methods and models suitable for the education and training of remaining women.The thesis hopes to promote physical and mental development of rural remaining women by the way of education and training, to improve their level of cultural knowledge and overall quality, and enhance its economic capacity and improve their social status, and promote the implementation of gender equality policies in rural areas, thereby improving the living conditions of rural remaining women, promoting rural modernization process and the harmonious development of society.
