The Ethical Study On China’s Social Old-age Security

Since1999China stepped into the aging society, the aging of population develops dramatically.The elderly population is growing fast and it is characterized by the aging and empty nest development.Disabled and half disabled elderly population grows rapidly. Recent years, under the Party andgovernment’s high attention, each district introduced relevant policy measures and increased financialsupport and finally made our modern social old-age security construction had a great progress. However,there are many problems like the simplification of the function, more attention to the material supportbut less in the humanistic care, shortage of the social pension funds, loss of the balance of the socialelderly support system and the unclear liabilities among the three parties of government, enterprise, andindividual in China’s modern social elderly support system. To these problems, it is not enough to solvethem only from the economical and political angels, we also need to analyze from the ethical and morallevel, to get the ethical support and to provide a healthy operating environment for the modern socialelderly support system. Meanwhile, ethics and morality has restrained the modern social old-agesecurity subject’s behaviors.The paper studies the China’s modern social old-age security problem from the perspective of theethics and morality. Enrich China’s modern social old-age security thought by summarizing the Ma, En,Lie’s social old-age security thought, the three generation leaders of the CCP’s social old-age securitythought, the traditional social old-age security thought and the western social old-age security thought.In the study, it has undertaken the thorough analysis of present situation and reason of the China’smodern social old-age security moral deficiency and has broadened the study field and vision of thesocial old-age security. Making study and analyze from the ethical and moral level is conducive to digdeeper into the modern ethical spirit, to play the humanity spirit and to make up our country’s modernsocial old-age security shortage. It conducive to solve the problems of our country’s modern socialold-age security we encountered by using the ethical spirit. These had a certain reference value to theold-age security policy makers and social old-age security researchers.
