Cost-based Analysis Of Corruption And Its Governance

Corruption is a social phenomenon, the control of which causes attention universally. Since the reform and opening, economic construction, the level of people’s life and comprehensive national strength have made a big step, the whole China glows vitality. Meanwhile, corruption phenomenon causes more and more people’s attention. The central government has made ceaseless efforts in controlling corruption, and anti-corruption work has made staggered results. However, the corruption problem is still outstanding. Since the number of serious big cases is ascending, the involving value is growing up. The corrupt officials is developing to the top level of leaders, serious corrupt involves in the major leaders, some younger and middle-high level leaders are involved in also. Abusing power for personal gain in industry and apartment is long-standing. Some corruption cases are developing toward mass-type and capital accumulation-type. The phenomenon tells the grim situation of anti-corruption work. Thus, a loose but never miss net should be weaved, so that corruption wouldn’t have the ground to grow, the corrupt officials, have nowhere to hide and no chance to escape. Hence, to provide effective methods to control corruption is not only needed by the economic development but also needed by the social upright propagation. Effective methods are also directive and useful to the problems of social economic development which will be met in future.This dissertation intends to analyze corruption in economic perspective theoretically. According to the analysis of the costs and incomes, this dissertation aims to reveal the cause of corruption. Thus, by finding the entry point of controlling corruption, we could provide positive policy suggestion and measures, with view to achieve control corruption effectively, promote anti-corruption work and contribute an own strength of building harmonious society. By the Marxism-Leninism, the Mao Zedong Thought and Deng Xiaoping Theory as the guiding thought, this dissertation makes use of documentary research method, comprehensive analysis method, taxonomy method and so on. By means of analyzing the costs and incomes of corruption, we achieve at that controlling corruption could be effective by making the corruption costs maximize and making the corruption incomes minimize, because it makes the corrupt officials number reduce to minimize and the corrupt occurrence minimize. In the concrete implementation process, one master line is to increase corruption costs, reduce corruption incomes, lessen corruption motivation and lower the chance to corrupt at the same time.This dissertation lessons from the modern economic theory, account for the relationship between corruption and social economical development. By means of researching corruption form the rational thinking, this dissertation aims to provide anti-corruption work with new theoretical supposition.
