| The fourth plenary session of the seventeenth central committee of Communist Party ofChina (CPC) put forward to promote building the Party scientifically and improve thescientific construction of the Party. and the target is to guarantee unremitting effort andeffectiveness and ensure the Party to be a solid Marxist ruling party which is alwayspragmatic, transparent and vigorous and serves the public, governs for the people, reformsand innovates.Aiming to develop the socialist cause with Chinese characteristics, the seventeenthnational Party’s congress made a detailed and thorough deployment for advancing the Partybuilding in an all round way. Meanwhile, the congress also stressed prioritizing a taskconcerning scientific Party building, i.e. strengthening the administration of the Party; anoverall requirement should be governing, which is the Party must handle Party affairs and bestrict in Party discipline and implement the principles of serving the people, being free ofcorruption and being pragmatic. Hence, this dissertation adopts the historical angle and baseon the nature of the Party to analyze the theory and thoughts on Party building in Marxism,Mao Zedong thought and Socialism with Chinese characteristics. Combining thecontemporary features, the author focuses on the ideological, organizational, style andinstitutional development as well as the advanced nature of the Party to enrich the content ofParty building, advance the cause of Party building and improve the administration capabilityof the Party so as to improve the scientific building of the Party in the new context.In addition, the dissertation considers various issues in Party building in different phasesand analyzes the reasons behind that and identifies several paths for improving the scientificbuilding of the Party in the new context so as to advance the effort in this regard. |
