Study On Awareness Cultivation Of Rural Women’s Political Participation In New Period

After the Fifth to the Sixteenth Congress of Chinese Communist Party, building a newsocialist countryside is one of the most primary issues which require the concentration ofwhole party. The basic requirements of building new socialist countryside are dominated bythe principle as development of production, affluent life, civilization of countryside, clean andtidy village and democratic management. Democratic management, which claim expansion offarmers’ political participation, take the most important position of all the principles above. Ithas significant meaning for building a new countryside, promoting socialist democracy, andsetting up a harmonious socialist society that rural women are gradually involved in thepolitical life in rural areas. This expansion is a hard task for rural women are still remaining inthe edge of political activities historically and practically. Therefore, ideological and politicaleducation, which is designed to help people to foster the political attitudes, and improve theideological and moral, is fundamental and the most effective method for rural women toparticipate in politics. Based on this, the subject of study has important theoreticalsignificance and profound practical significance.On the basis of previous research, combined with the ideological and political theories ofpedagogy, methodology of ideological and political education, political science, managementscience, psychology, statistics, etc, this paper expounds and proves scientific connotation,main characteristics and social values of the awareness of rural women’s politicalparticipation by survey sample form Ansai, Huaxian and Zhenan in Shaanxi Province, in thetheoretical perspective of ideological and political education to rural women’s politicalparticipation in consciousness as the analytical framework. By the result of questionnaire andinterview, the main problems and their reasons are analyzed. In the end, by the factor ofeconomics, politics, cultural and themselves, effective countermeasures are proposed ofraising rural women’s political awareness are proposed to achieve gender equality andharmony with the development of socialist democracy and politics in rural areas.
