The Development Study Of Public-welfare Youth Social Organization

The "Global Associational Revolution" in the late20th century haspromoted the development of Chinese society organizations, particularly thepublic welfare organizations which are mainly made up of youth in the21stcentury society. This has provided an increasingly rich social platform forpromoting civic participation, realizing social value and expanding public sphere.The government can’t reach the sector with the limitation of resources, so as thecommercial communities, in which the public welfare of youth socialorganization can make up for the incompetence of government and marketfunctions, playing an increasingly important role to promote the formation of athe multiple model of the state, market and society organizations. China being ina transition period offers public welfare youth social organization, which is stillin the early stages of development, a good opportunity for making progress. Meanwhile, it also brings great challenges. Public welfare youth socialorganization is facing the problem of survival and development to some degree,due to their own reasons and the external factors. Therefore, this paper willfocus on the sustainable development of public welfare youth socialorganization and offering solutions to countermeasures, setting ChangningDistrict, Shanghai as an example, aiming to contribute to the historical processof China’s civil society.The basic framework of the paper is divided into six parts in total. ChapterOne is to present the theme of the study, the background and significance,research framework and methods; Chapter Two is to analyze the relatedconcepts and discuss theoretical basis, including concepts of self-organization,social organizations, Youth Self-organizations, youth social organizations, publicwelfare youth social organization and related theoretical basis; Chapter Threediscusses the basic status of the development of public welfare youth socialorganization, including general overview of the national level, the trend ofpublic welfare youth social organizations and the development status andcharacteristics in Shanghai level; Chapter Four concludes the predicaments ofthe development of Changning District public welfare Youth SocialOrganization development and its reasons, by analyzing youth socialorganizations of three different types in Changning District; Chapter Five givessuggestions and ideas about system improvement of public welfare youth socialorganization, in the perspective of internal organization strengthening and external environment perfection by analyzing foreign non-governmental charityorganization. Finally is the concluding section, which briefly described thelimitations of this study and indicated the key directions for future research inthis field.
