The Contemporary Chinese Social Management Research

Management is an indispensable activity for harmonious and orderly operationof human life. Social management is an important activity, which we are facingcommonly for its multifarious and disorderly content, its diverse subjects and itsconcrete and complex job. The so-called social management, we mainly mean theprocess of the organization, coordination, service, supervision and control of sociallife, social structure, social systems, social projects and social concepts by thegovernment and social organizations to promote social system in operation anddevelop healthily.Building a harmonious socialist society, the contemporary China needs tostrengthen the study of theoretical and practical problems of social management.Under the guidance of Marxist social theory, it is an important topic for theconstruction of building socialism with Chinese characteristics by deepening thestudy of contemporary social theory, and creating a new situation of socialmanagement with Chinese characteristics. Needless to say, since the founding of NewChina, the party and the country have attached great importance to the socialmanagement work, especially since the reform and opening up, in order to adapt tothe new social development situation, we have explored a large number of socialmanagement modes for China’s basic national conditions, on this basis, creating thecorresponding social management experience.However, today, more than30years after the reform and opening up, theproblems and contradictions of social management have been increasingly and greatlyconcerned by the party and the government at all levels. In2011, the party and thestate leaders have made a series of important speeches, on various occasions and atdifferent levels, on China’s social management issues, which in many ways reflectsthat strengthening social management theory research, improving social managementapproaches, and innovating social management model have become the majortheoretical issues and practical problems of social management areas, needing to be solved.Based on this, this paper bases on Marxism while regarding Marxism SocialManagement as a guide, it has a comprehensive analysis of contemporary Chinesesocial management issues from theory to practice. Exploring the problems that existin the contemporary Chinese social management, this paper analyzes its causes, andexplores how to strengthen the management theory of socialism with Chinesecharacteristics, as well as the improvement and innovation of the social managementmethods and models in the contemporary Chinese society, in this way, we regard it asa positive and useful attempt in improving the level of contemporary Chinese socialmanagement, for the contemporary construction of a harmonious socialist society, topromote the process of building a comprehensive well-off society, which undoubtedlyis significant in both the theoretical and practical aspects.This article follows the basic principles of unification of history and logic andcombine of theory and practice, trying to study from the following aspects oncontemporary Chinese social management issues.First of all, the study of general theoretical issues of social management. In thefirst part of this paper,it will adhere to the basic position of Marxism, regard MarxistSocial Management as guidelines,start from the general theory of social management,use the methods of theoretical analysis and logical deduction to have a deep analysisof the connotation,the subjects and the characteristics of social management, and ofthe unique meaning of social management in contemporary China, so as to providethe necessary theoretical basis for the further study of social management issues incontemporary China.Secondly, the sketch and analysis of the contemporary Chinese socialmanagement situation. In the second part of the thesis, it focuses on the study of theconcern of contemporary Chinese social management situation. At first, it analyzesand summarizes the major achievements that the contemporary Chinese socialmanagement projects have got in a historical perspective. And secondly, it analyzesthe problems in contemporary Chinese social management work, and then expandscareful analysis of the dangers of these issues. Finally, it will reveal the roots of theseproblems. Finally, the study of reform and innovation of contemporary Chinese socialmanagement. In the third part of the thesis, on the basis of the previous paper and interms of the existed problems and roots of contemporary Chinese social management,this article tries to put forward approaches of corresponding reform and innovation, inorder to promote China’s social management career to a new level, and ultimatelyrealize the scientific and modern contemporary Chinese social management.
