At present, China is undergoing a series of profound social changes, which brings a certain amount of challenges to political socialization. Great changes in the aspects of productive forces, political and cultural values and increasingly diversified interests have given political socialization new requirements, which makes a number of problems to be solved emerged in the process of political socialization. Some of the most major problems are that obstacles in inheriting dominant political cultural heritage result in the rising of social conflicts and social problems, and that the phenomenon of differentiation pattern of social interests results in people’s doubts of socialism or even to question the leadership of the party and so on. Those series of problems show the weakness of China’s current political socialization. In China, the effectiveness of the current political socialization depends largely on the status of inner-party democracy. The construction of inner-party democracy will improve party’s political identity in the whole society, and provide a strong human resources, a good democracy environment and rich political and cultural resources to political socialization, thus promoting the process of China’s political socialization significantly. So, to find the key to China’s current social management, we must start from the research of inner-party democracy. By strengthening inner-party democracy construction, it will further promote the process of political socialization, improve citizen’s political identity, and ease the conflicts of political and cultural values, so as to solve various social problems and social conflicts.This paper is divided into six parts. The first part is introduction, which focuses on the significance of the research, historical researches review, this paper’s innovations and research methods. The first chapter is about political identity and inner-party democracy, which discussed the relationship between political socialization and political identity and the classification of political socialization. It also discussed the concept and functions of inner-party democracy and the influence of inner-party democracy to political socialization. Chapter two introduced the achievements of China’s current inner-party democracy construction practices and analyzed its influence on political identity. The third chapter pointed out the problems in current inner-party democracy and analyzed the reasons causing these problems. Based on the problems described in Chapter III, Chapter IV brings up some measures to promote political socialization by strengthening inner-party democracy. The last part is conclusion. Standing in full perspective of the paper, this part once again sums up and points out the vital ideas and main point of the paper.
