Chinese Policy About Southeast Asia Under The Background Of Equilibrium Strategy Among Big Countries

As one of the most active region, the place of Southeast Asia within internationalpolitic-economical pattern is more and more important. And China has the directgeographical contact. Since the Reform and Opening-up, especially after the new century,the Comprehensive national strength of China grows rapidly. China has longer coast line,but in the strict sense, there haven’t real accesses to the sea, which is one of the keyfactors that block our development. As the place we must pass to get into The IndianOcean, the Southeast Asia and Chinese politic、economic、and security related closely.Therefore, in the position of china, it’s meaningful to develop the relationship with thenations in the Southeast Asia.As the most important regional organization of Southeast Asia, Association ofSoutheast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has been taken seriously by china since it organized.But we need consider sufficiently when formulating the policy against Southeast Asia,because of the complex and particular political and economical development of this place,in which the strategy of ASEAN is one of the most critical factors. ASEAN carry out thepolicy named Equilibrium Strategy among Big Countries for its interest, and expectingbalance the big countries for fulfilling the most interests of its owner. As the response,china practices the corresponding policy, which is the considering decision of china.This article uses Experience analysis and Dialectical analysis, trying to analyze thepolicies and the basis between ASEAN and Chinese, in order to study Chinese policyagainst Southeast Asia area in the ground of Equilibrium Strategy among Big Countries.The thesis is departed into two parts of introduction and text, introduction includesthe background、research status、research methods、the innovation points and difficulties.The text is divided into four parts. In the first part, introduces the Equilibrium Strategyamong Big Countries, including the Basic concept、the general characteristics. Then itanalyzes motivation of ASEAN’s policy from theoretical and practical aspects. In secondpart, introduces the effects of the Equilibrium Strategy among Big Countries to Chinesepolicy against Southeast Asia and analyzes from ASEAN’s dual positioning andbalancing Chinese effect. The third part focuses on Chinese policy against Southeast Asiain the ground of Equilibrium Strategy among Big Countries, and analyzes from there aspects which are the necessities, basics and connotations. In fourth part, comment on theChinese policy against Southeast Asia, that is the utilities and suggestions about thepolicy.
