On The Theoretical Foundation And Developmental Bath Of China Ecological Civilization

With the gradual acceleration of industrialization and modernization, theecological environment that the human beings are facing is gradually worsening andis becoming serious threats to the social development and the survival of the mankind.In the international society, every country and the people of all walks are doing theirutmost to offer suggestions to curb the further deterioration of ecological environmentand explore the effective way to solve ‘the Riddle of Sphinx’. The report of the17thParty Congress first puts forward clearly that the construction of ecologicalcivilization will be the new objective and requirement of the comprehensiveconstruction of well-off society. Ecological problems reflect how human beings treatthemselves and the value of nature. We should learn from history to solve theseproblems. In the19thcentury, Marx and Engels systematically discussed therelationship between human beings and nature, criticized typical environmentproblems during the development of capitalism, and finds the social reasons of theseproblems and provided solutions. By studying their ecological philosophy, we canunderstand our own ecological problems, treat human beings and nature in aharmonious way, and carry out the scientific thought of development, which willbenefit the socialist ecological civilization and the construction of harmonioussociety.The paper consists of four parts. In the first part, this paper sorts out andsummarizes the thoughts of Marxism founders’ views on the relationship betweennatural ecology and human beings, and point out its enlightenment for our country’sbuilding of ecological civilization. In the second part, this paper expounds theachievements and problems of China’s building ecological civilization and analyzesthe causes of the problems. In the third part, the reasons of ecological problems areprobed from the perspective of economy, politics and culture. Finally, how toconstruct socialist ecological civilization under the guidance of Marxism is studied.Marxism provides theological foundation for China’s ecological construction,directs our economic development, and contributes to the construction of resources-saving and environment-harmonious society. o strengthen the harmoniousrelationship between human beings and nature and to make human beings develop ina friendly and balanced environment, we should take the environment intoconsideration, optimize industries, value ecological civilization, and advocate greenconsumption and healthy living.
