Studies On Thought Of Marx And Engels’Ecological Civilization And Its Contemporary Development

Ecological civilization is a civilization form whose core idea is coordinated development between man and nature after the industrial civilization. It falls into three aspects:higher environmental protection awareness, ecological model of economic development, social systems ecology. The future and destiny of human being has been given much attention to and thought about by Marx and Engels during their whole life. Although the words "ecological civilization" has not been directly used, profound thought of ecological civilization is contained in many of their writings. These basic ideas and concrete judgments are scattered among the writings of various periods, thus become important parts of Marxist theory. Ecological civilization thought of Marx and Engels comes into being in the19th century, it is expounded on the basis of serious investigation and relentless criticism on the reality of the development of the capitalist society. With the deepening ecological crisis, ecological civilization of Marx and Engels has important guiding significance for the development of Chinese circular economy, the construction of ecological civilization. In the process of excavation and construction of ecological civilization thought of Marxism, the basic principles of Marxism are used to analyze anti-ecological nature of the capitalist system and production mode, and a new eco-criticism to contemporary capitalism. The Marxist ecological civilization thought is combined with the specific ecological civilization practice of China by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao.
