The Construction Of China’ Marine Strategy In New Era

This paper focuses on the construction of Chinese marine strategy in the new era, based on the evaluation of Chinese sea power idea, theory and practice.The main body of this paper consists of four parts. The first part discusses the theoretical basis of constructing Chinese marine strategy of the new era, which mainly combs the classical sea power theories and thoughts to summarize the basic theory of sea power.The second section discusses the internal resources and existing base in China, including the traditional marine thoughts, the practices in marine interest protection and the control situation in marine areas, islands and ocean passages.The discussion of external environment falls on the third part. Through the research of the marine strategy and practice of maritime hegemony, the United States and regional marine competitors, such as Japan and India, we provide strategic and policy reference the development of China’s maritime strategy.In the last section, we draw our attention to the contents and steps of Chinese marine strategy construction in the new era. We start our research in the goal, principles, guiding ideology, the specific path, organization system and preparations. The marine strategy with Chinese characteristics is a comprehensive strategy. The implementation and development of the strategy involve political, economic, diplomatic, military, science and technology etc. It is a complex system. It requires a lot of link coordinating unity, also need to coordinate and unify domestic and international interests; focus on reality and look to the future; Requires a great deal of capital, investment in science and technology, tremendous efforts and patience.
